"Untitled" - Flash Fiction
No paper slips were sent home with students to inform their parents of a day off. No protests were held
in the streets nor in front of political buildings. The newspaper contained its daily topics varying from
politics to sports and deaths. You'd expect everyone to know everywhere around the world. No
helicopter hovering over the city. Not the gloomy weather we quite expected. I looked through a
telescope to observe the movement of the planets. Venus still strutted in its path. The earth still
proceeded its familiar cycle to progress. I guess the reason for our separation wasn't as convincing as we
thought.
