"Condolences to the Earth" - Flash Fiction
She bent down and laced her fingers through it, inhaling its spice. Her fingers
rubbed the dirt and let it slip, like running waters. “Who breathed you into
existence?” She whispered to it, piercing the silence of the night. Did destiny
simply vomit you across the Earth? Were you ripped off by the galaxy from your
family in Mars? She expressed her deep sorrow and passed down her condolences.
Then she was needed back inside.
